Hello! I'm Bonnie, a Fiber Artist & Creator, and self-proclaimed Fiber nerd. My experience is both administrative and hands-on, with raw materials and design. I love working with color and fiber, and my fine-art work lives in the realm of funky soft sculpture. The world of fibers is so broad, but I prefer to focus on aspects of sustainability and craft, as well as techniques such as dyeing, surface design, sewing and embroidery, and sometimes weaving!
Recently I relocated to Brooklyn and I look forward to exploring the art and design New York has to offer!
Savannah College of Art & Design
During my studies at SCAD I had the opportunity to learn many craft and design techniques. Skills that I attained include natural and synthetic dye, felting, embroidery and embellishment, surface design, weaving, surface and pattern design, digital fabric printing, concept development and ideation, color theory, and more. The application and knowledge of my industry were furthered by Communications, Business of Fibers, and Textile History.
